We started off the New Year with a 3 mile intermediate hike in the Clear Creek Metro Park! The Starner House is the park office... my dad's home place, where he grew up. I have lots of memories of playing in these woods as a little girl.

Weight Loss Challenge

Meant to inspire my peeps in the Weight Loss Challenge - Fit As A Fiddle Get Healthy Class... The Pinellas Trail runs 54 miles from Tarpon Springs through St Petersburg, Florida. We started in Tarpon Springs and so far we rode our bikes through Largo. We'll ride close to Zephyrhills tomorrow, then back on the Pinellas Trail from Largo to St Petersburg in a couple of days. My Fitness Pal app says I burned 1,000 calories today. I'm not counting calories with this lifestyle, but good to know every 3,500 calories is a pound. Then we had dinner in Clearwater Beach. I had the best coconut shrimp over salad with pineapple chutney and grilled pineapple. Marc had blackened grilled chicken over salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Seltzer water with lime for the drinks. This is how I do my food combining....

Only takes about 1 to 1.5 hours a day! This is us unloading the bikes from the beach buggy (blue PT Cruiser) and getting ready to hit the bike trail at Clearwater. Remember, 20 minutes of walking 3 times a day equals a 5k...

We rode our bikes 25.89 miles today on the bike trails in central Florida. We're coming home this weekend. We're going to miss our tiny house, favorite restaurants, new found winery, 80 degree weather, biking everyday and our Florida bff's. And I will especially miss my new little writing corner. Until March... ☹️

First Trail Rider's Bike Ride of the Season
